What Creator-First Data Means
More than a privacy policy.
Creator-first data philosophy means: the data generated by your creative work is never used to benefit anyone except you. Not for training AI models. Not for behavioral advertising. Not for resale. Not for platform analytics that extract value from your creative process.
Most software platforms treat user data as a byproduct they're entitled to monetize. Soniteq was built with the opposite assumption: your project data is your intellectual property and creative capital, and we're the infrastructure layer — not a co-owner of what you make.
This philosophy shapes how we build:
- Kora is local-first — your project database lives on your machine, not our servers
- Sync, when used, is encrypted and under your explicit control
- AI assistance operates on your data within your session only
- We collect operational telemetry (crash reports, usage counts) — never content
- You can export everything and delete your account without restriction
Three Commitments
What we never do with your data.
Never trained on
Your project data, session content, audio files, and creative work are never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. This is not a legal carve-out. It's how the system is designed.
Never sold
No behavioral profiles, no usage data sold to ad networks, no data brokers. The only entity that benefits from your data is you. This includes metadata about how you use the product.
You control the sync
When you choose to sync data for cross-device access, that's your decision — not a default. You can use Kora entirely offline, entirely locally, with no cloud component at all.

- Priority surfacing based on the deadlines and revision states you've explicitly set

- AI operates on session data only — no persistent learning from your content
What AI never does

- Send your session data to third-party AI providers without explicit opt-in
- Profile your creative patterns for commercial or advertising purposes
- Use your music or project context to generate content for other users
- Make autonomous changes to your projects without your explicit confirmation
The commitments, in plain language
Local-first storage
Kora's project database lives on your machine. Sync is opt-in, encrypted, and reversible. You can run Kora entirely offline with zero data leaving your device.
No model training on your work
Your session content, project notes, revision logs, and audio work are never used to train any AI model — including Soniteq's own internal tools and third-party providers we use.
Full data portability
Export everything at any time in standard formats. Delete your account and all associated data completely. No lock-in, no retention period after deletion.
