Answer

What Platforms Does Kora Support?

Kora runs on macOS 13 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel. It is a native desktop app — there is no web version. An iPhone companion is in development and not yet on the App Store; Windows and Android are unsupported.

What Platforms Does Kora Support?

Direct answer: macOS 13 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel. That is the whole list today. Kora is a native desktop application — there is no web app, no Windows build, and no Android build. An iPhone companion is in development and is not yet on the App Store.

macOS — the only platform today

Everything Kora does happens in the Mac app: projects and albums, contacts and follow-ups, Focus Flow sessions, watch folders and DAW detection, Export Flow, Key Shift Pro, and Kai.

Being Mac-native is not incidental. Watch folders use macOS FSEvents to detect DAW exports as they appear, and DAW session launching relies on local application paths — neither is something a web app can do.

iPhone — in development

An iPhone companion is being built as a capture-and-glance surface that syncs with your Mac workspace. It is not released, and it is not on the App Store. See how do I use Kora on iPhone for what is in scope, and product status for current state.

What about the web?

soniteq.co covers support, learning paths, answers and product discovery. Actual project work happens in the desktop app — there is no browser-based version of Kora and none is planned.

Windows and Android

Neither is supported. Windows is on the roadmap without a committed date; Android is not.

If you are on Windows today, Kora is not usable for you, and no amount of workaround changes that. We would rather say so than have you install something that cannot run.

Does it work offline?

Mostly, with one caveat worth knowing. Your projects, audio and exports live on your own disk, so your work is not held in someone else’s cloud. Cloud integrations — calendar sync, email, cloud storage — are optional.

The caveat: subscription entitlement is verified against the network, so a fully offline launch can currently prompt for connectivity even though your data is local. Persisting that check across offline restarts is active work. See is Kora local-first and offline.

Frequently asked

Does Kora work on Windows?

No. Kora is macOS-only, requiring macOS 13 or later. Windows support is on the roadmap but has no committed date.

Is there a web version of Kora?

No. Kora is a native desktop application. The website covers documentation, answers and learning paths, but project work happens only in the Mac app.

What are the Mac system requirements?

macOS 13 or later, on either Apple Silicon or Intel hardware.

Is Kora on iPhone yet?

No. The iPhone companion is in development and is not on the App Store. It is designed to sync with a Mac workspace rather than replace it.

Do I need a Mac to use Kora?

Yes. There is no standalone mobile or web version — the Mac app is the product.
