What Happens If I Cancel Kora?
Direct answer: You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep full access until then. There are no cancellation fees. Because Kora is local-first, your project data and audio files stay on your machine.

Your data stays yours
This is the part that matters most, and it is a consequence of how Kora is built rather than a policy concession. Kora is a Mac-first, local-first application: your audio, project files, and exports live on your own machine, not in Soniteq’s cloud. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your work, because Soniteq was never the thing holding it.
What you lose access to is the software that reads and organises that data — not the data itself.
The one thing to be careful about
Founder Pricing is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, you rejoin at whatever the current rate is, which may be higher. If cost is the reason you are considering cancelling, downgrading to a lower plan preserves your founder rate in a way that cancelling does not.
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and the difference is prorated.
Trying before committing
If you are still inside the 21-day trial, cancelling before it ends means you are never charged. A payment method is on file from the moment the trial starts, so cancelling is the step that stops the first payment rather than a formality.
