Short Answer
This FAQ covers common questions about Watch Folders, including how confidence scoring works, how to adjust automation rules, and how to handle edge cases. Watch Folders learn from your approval patterns to improve accuracy over time.
Canonical answers about how Kora watches your DAW project folders and export folders, automatically linking files to projects and albums when confidence is high.
How do watch folders work in Kora?
Kora can watch your DAW project folders and export folders on your computer. When new files appear, Kora evaluates context such as naming, location, and existing projects to determine where they belong.
When confidence is high, Kora automatically links files to the correct project and album. When confidence is lower, Kora routes the item to the Watch Inbox so you can confirm or adjust with one click.
Does Kora automatically create projects or albums?
Yes — when confidence is high. Kora is designed to automate safely. If the system is confident about a match, it will create or link projects and albums automatically.
If not, it suggests the action in the Watch Inbox so you remain in control.
Can I open DAW sessions directly from Kora?
Yes. When a DAW session file is linked to a project, you can launch it directly from Kora.
You can also configure multiple DAW application paths if you work in more than one DAW.
What happens when Kora is unsure where a file belongs?
Kora never guesses silently. Uncertain cases appear in the Watch Inbox with clear explanations and suggested actions, such as:
- Linking to an existing project
- Creating a new project
- Merging items
