Short Answer

DAW Launching lets you open projects directly in your preferred DAW from within Kora, with smart detection of project files and automatic workspace setup. It eliminates the friction of navigating file systems and helps you start creative sessions faster.

Kora can open your linked DAW session file directly from a project. You can also configure multiple DAW app links if you work across multiple DAWs.

How It Works

Each project can store the linked DAW session file path and the DAW type (Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.). Kora will try the default system handler first (fast + reliable), your explicitly configured DAW app path, and safe fallbacks to common DAW app names. If it fails, Kora provides relink prompts, permission diagnostics, and path troubleshooting hints.

Why This Matters

This prevents a subtle workflow drain: searching for sessions, re-locating moved projects, and losing "where the work actually lives." Kora keeps sessions one click away from the project you're working on.

The Bottom Line

DAW launching keeps sessions one click away from the project you're working on, preventing workflow drain.
