Learn how Kora automatically keeps your projects, exports, and DAW sessions in sync using watch folders.

How Watch Folders Work

Kora monitors designated folders for changes and automatically links files to the correct projects. When you export a mix from your DAW or save a new project file, Kora detects it and updates your project records.

How do I set up Watch Folders?

  1. Navigate to Settings → Watch Folders
  2. Add folders you want Kora to monitor (DAW project folders, export folders, sample libraries)
  3. Configure auto-linking rules based on file naming patterns
  4. Set up notifications for new file detections

What are the benefits?

  • Automatic file organization: No manual drag-and-drop required
  • Real-time synchronization: Changes appear instantly in Kora
  • Version tracking: Kora tracks file modifications automatically
  • Cross-project linking: Share assets across multiple projects seamlessly

What are the best practices?

  • Use consistent naming conventions for your exports
  • Keep watch folders organized by project or client
  • Review auto-linked files periodically to ensure accuracy
